Best iPhone 5 Clue Yet: Physical Evidence? [PICS]

Here’s a piece of visual evidence that the iPhone 5 could have a larger screen and a thinner bezel. Thanks to a Chinese reseller of Apple parts, this unconfirmed photo has surfaced, reportedly of the digitizer panel for the iPhone 5.

According to 9 to 5 Mac, the screen has similar construction to the same part on the iPhone 4, but as you can see, the panel reaches almost all the way out to the edges of the device. There’s more screen area on the top and bottom, also bolstering iPhone 5 rumors we’ve been hearing about a much larger screen.

From this picture, it’s hard to tell if that’s the rumored 4-inch screen or a 4.3-inch screen, matching many of the Android smartphones released recently.

Taking this rumor one step further, Piotrek has put together mockup of what the new iPhone 5 would look like if it were wearing this larger digitizer panel:

How about it, readers? Will Apple join the 4-inches-and-larger smartphone market when it rolls out the next iteration of the iPhone this summer?

BEST Fighter of All Time

Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao receives on June 4 his Fighter of the Decade award from the Boxing Writers Association of America in New York City, but for his millions of fans all over the world, he is not only the fighter of the decade, but a fighter of all time.

The People’s Champ is the first Fighter of the Decade awardee, as BWAA used to only give the Fighter of the Year award which Pacquiao also received, first in 2006 when he beat Erik Morales and then in 2008 when he won over Juan Manuel Marquez, David Diaz and Oscar dela Hoya. Pacquiao is now in line with the boxing world’s greatest fighters who won the award three times. The other four are Muhammad Ali, Jose Frazier, Sugar Ray Leonard and Evander Holyfield.

The Pambansang Kamao was ready to face the undefeated Mayweather early this year in Dallas in an unofficial bout to decide who truly is the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, a title held by Mayweather for a long time having secured 40 wins and 25 knockouts. But, after Pacquiao beat Joshua Clottey, he became the only boxer to win seven world titles in seven different weight classes, earning him the pound-for-pound king title.

There are talks and clamor about pushing through with the Pacquiao-Mayweather and the Filipino boxing icon said there is right now a 50/50 chance that it might happen. The two camps failed to come to an agreement about blood testing protocols, putting a stop to the fight preparations. Manny is ok with having the blood test, but, “…’wag lang before the fight, kasi lugi naman ako, dahil mas malaki siya sa ‘kin,” Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao is not just into boxing. He said he also likes to play basketball, volleyball and badminton. For the NBA Finals, he is rooting for the Boston Celtics.

Pacquiao flew to the USA despite having just gone out of the hospital because of ulcer. He is there not only to get his award but also to take a short break with his family—wife Jinkee, their children, sister-in-law and Jinkee’s twin Janette, and adviser Mike Koncz. Koncz revealed that the family will spend a couple of days on board a 120-foot yacht off the waters of Mexico care of Mexico’s Fernando Beltran.

But the champ will be back in Manila before his course on governance in the University of the Philippines starts on June 14. Pacquiao is even thinking of taking up Law so he can serve his people better. The 31-year-old boxer won a congressional seat in the province of Sarangani in the May elections and has promised his constituents that he will focus on the people’s health and education. The soft-hearted Pacquiao, coming from poverty, is all ready to help people and cooperate with the new president-elect Noynoy Aquino, even as he endorsed another presidential candidate. …

Alienware Area 51 â M7700 – The Dream

Flashback year 2006, everyone in the computer world got stunned as Alienware unveiled their new breed of customizable gaming laptop, the Alienware Area 51. Back then, this gaming laptop was hands down every gamersâ dream for a gaming laptop. If not for its steep price back then, everyone would probably work double jobs just to get their hands on this formerly jaw-dropping gaming notebook â including myself.

What more could a gamer ask for in a gaming laptop? What game or 3d application do you think would not be running without a snag on the Alienware Area 51 M7700âs 3.8 GHz of hyper threading raw processing power provided by Intelâs Pentium 4 processor? Add Nvidiaâs GeForce 7800 GTX with 256mb of dedicated memory for stunning visuals. Not to mention its 4 GB of PC5300 DDR 2 of ram. Ok. Now here is the funny part. I finally got enough cash to splurge on my dream gaming laptop right? So shopping I tried to do. And guess what? Alienware does not sell my dream no more! How ironic. How ironic indeed. I guess my dream will have to remain a dream for a little bit longer â Oh yes! I definitely am not giving up on this baby!

After countless hours trying to get quality information from Alienwareâs customer support on how I could get my hands on the Alienware Area 51 M7700, I gave up on the Alienwareâs horrific customer service and I took a step back to assess what options I got left in getting what I have dreamed of.

Then it hit me. EBay! There, I finally found one Alienware Area 51 M7700! Right then and there, I almost purchased it outright specially with itâs less than $ 1,000 price tag. Lucky for me I did not let my emotions get the better of me. I checked on the details of the unit being sold by this EBay seller. It does look like itâs in excellent condition; I will give the unit that. However, the configured specs are a little low for my taste. And the worst part? No option for a warranty! Oh no! Definitely not going with that one now. Not unless I want to end up going bald for issues that might arise after buying the rig.

The Solution
